As my new favorite place in Amsterdam is the Hallen, my goal is to try every restaurant and stand there. Halte 3 is the new Brasserie in the Hallen. It is not that big with the bar centered in the middle, which makes it seem like a pretty small place, but actually it has a lot of tables.
There are opening new food markets everywhere; El Nacional in Barcelona, de Markthal in Rotterdam and de Foodhallen in Amsterdam. And since I’m a big fan of little bites instead of big platters of food, food markets are the perfect place to have some dinner and drinks.
One of my favorite spots in Amsterdam is Hutspot. I can easily spend a few hours here. And beside that I love the name, Hutspot is a traditional Dutch dish.
There should be so much more at the watersides in Rotterdam. It is such a lovely place when you live in a busy city. Luckily, this year there opened another awesome spot at the waterside right behind, and from the same owners of, the De Machinist; Viskantine aan de Cool.
On a sunny day me and my boyfriend wanted to go for dinner somewhere with a nice terrace. Suddenly we thought of going to De Machinist in Coolhaven, Rotterdam. Normally an area where I do not come that often. But actually really close to my house.
One of the things I love about living in the coolest street in Rotterdam, Witte de Withstraat, is that I never have to leave my street. I can get my morning coffee @ Hopper, breakfast @ de Bakkerswinkel, clothes @ Margreet Olsthoorn, sneakers @ Seventyfive, and drinks @ NRC. And I get my lunch @ The Bagel Bakery!!
Finally summer is here!! When the weather is this hot I don’t really feel like cooking, but just have cold drinks on a terrace outside and have some fresh fish from the bbq around 8/9pm. You can get the best fresh fish from the bbq at A La Plancha! You can find this summer pop up restaurant on ‘Het Noordereiland’, a little island in the Maas in Rotterdam.
On a rainy day me and my friends ended up in Restaurant De Jong. We arrived around 5pm. They were getting ready for the evening and we took a seat at the bar talking to the staff and having some wine.
My absolute favorite place in Hong Kong is Locofama. Not only because it is owned by my friends, but also because the food is delicious, the restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and everything on the menu is organic, healthy and from local farms.
