Kunsthal Rotterdam

I love to hang around in the Museumpark in Rotterdam. They just rebuild the whole area. It is a green, quite place now where you can hang around, lay in the grass, or sit on the nice terraces of the Kunsthal and NAi. On the Museum square there are organized a lot of cool things, especially in summer; pleinbioscoop (open air movies), SWAN Market, Parade.

But it wouldn’t be called Museumpark if there weren’t any museums. You can find the Kunsthal, Natuurhistorisch Museum, NAi and Boijmans Van Beuningen here. One of my favorites is the Kunsthal. It is a modern museum that doesn’t have a permanent collection. So you can always find something new every time you go there. In the last year it featured a lot of fashion related exhibitions; Jean Paul Gaultier and S.H.O.E.S. Loved these two exhibitions! Now they are showing the Urban by Nature exhibitions, about the nature life in cities. It is cool to see all the projects around the world now which involve nature in the city, such a relevant subject these days.

Not really a museum type of person, just hang around the Museumpark, have a drink on their lovely terrace, or have lunch/drinks in their cool café.
