De Machinist Rotterdam

On a sunny day me and my boyfriend wanted to go for dinner somewhere with a nice terrace. Suddenly we thought of going to De Machinist in Coolhaven, Rotterdam. Normally an area where I do not come that often. But actually really close to my house.

In this remarkable building there used to be the Shipping and Transport College from 1949-2005. A lot of the old elements of this College are still visible in the restaurant and pub. The lovely balcony has a view on the Coolhaven where you can enjoy the sun till the late hours. In summer they have a fish barbecue restaurant right at the waterside, de Viskantine. I will write about that in my next post!

This time I ordered the Sardines and this was a really good choice. They were delicious, highly recommended!
