The one thing you have to do when visiting Basel is go to the Vitra Campus (preferably on a bike, like we did)! Not only because the Vitra Collection is amazing, but also because it is a super nice area where you can chill out a bit.

One thing for sure; there cannot be enough Buvette containers at the Rhein in Basel. On my second trip to Basel I found the second Buvette container. If I would find a new one every time I’m in Basel I would be perfectly happy!
This stylish bar is the place to have a coffee in the morning or a fabulous afternoon cocktail; Conto Bar. The bar is located on a nice little square, Voltaplatz, were the cool green Basel trams pass by every few minutes. The interior is amazing. Conto bar is located in an old banking hall. All the details of this bank hall are still visible; the thick bullet proof glass and when you go down to the toilet your standing in an old safe with a massive bullet proof door.
Shopping in Switzerland isn’t such a good idea, because it’s crazy expensive. But when you do go shopping in Basel, go to Set & Sekt. A really beautiful store in the old part of the city centre, with the most amazing brands; Acne, Alexander Wang, Dries van Noten etc. Luckily when I was there it was SALE, and a good one! So I had to buy that Acne shirt.
Three weeks ago my boyfriend and I went on a spontaneous trip to Basel, Switzerland. We booked our flight on Wednesday evening and left the next day! We didn’t really had time to plan anything. But luckily, we have some great friends there who could show us around. The best place they showed us was this little café hidden at the waterside; Rostiger Anker. It is one of the most chilled out places I have seen lately.
