HANGOUT PLACES

Foodhallen Amsterdam

Foodhallen Amsterdam

There are opening new food markets everywhere; El Nacional in Barcelona, de Markthal in Rotterdam and de Foodhallen in Amsterdam. And since I’m a big fan of little bites instead of big platters of food, food markets are the perfect place to have some dinner and drinks.

Hanneke’s Boom Amsterdam

Hanneke’s Boom Amsterdam

Who didn’t want to build tree houses when they were little? I always feel like sitting in a tree house when I’m at Hanneke’s Boom. It is such a great place away from the city, but actually in the city centre. It’s the perfect way to escape the busy city for an afternoon, just like you escaped when you were little by climbing in your tree house.

But I don’t really like all the terraces at Plaza Mayor, there are mostly tourists and the restaurants charge tourist prices as well. But just around the corner of Plaza Mayor you find the really nice Mercado de San Miguel. Of course, located in this area, this is not a cheap place as well, but at least its super cool!

Festival guide Summer 2014 Holland

Festival guide Summer 2014 Holland

Summer is here! And the best thing about that is, that the festival season in Holland is here! I’m such a big fan of festivals. Being in the sun, dancing to great music, eating and drinking with your friends, throwing paint/color powder on each other and playing grandma bingo.
