Scandinavian design is still one of the best there is. Of course I get some of my stuff at IKEA, but always combine it with cool brands, like HAY!

There are opening new food markets everywhere; El Nacional in Barcelona, de Markthal in Rotterdam and de Foodhallen in Amsterdam. And since I’m a big fan of little bites instead of big platters of food, food markets are the perfect place to have some dinner and drinks.
I’m a big fan of places like Pllek! Somewhere (kind of) in the middle of nowhere you suddenly find an amazing spot like this.
This cute little cafe has 2 locations both in the 9 Streets; in the Herengracht and Berenstraat. Both places have the same cuteness; little tables right next to each other with lovely flowers.
Friends often tell me that I’m a rabbit, because I eat lots of salads! For breakfast I always eat yoghurt and granola. But for lunch and dinner I prefer salads; a light veggie salad for lunch and for dinner a proper filling salad with fish, chicken or cheese and nuts.
One of my favorite spots in Amsterdam is Hutspot. I can easily spend a few hours here. And beside that I love the name, Hutspot is a traditional Dutch dish.
In the East of Amsterdam, close to the city centre you can find Filter: a relaxing and cosy coffee spot where you can drink excellent coffee.
Who didn’t want to build tree houses when they were little? I always feel like sitting in a tree house when I’m at Hanneke’s Boom. It is such a great place away from the city, but actually in the city centre. It’s the perfect way to escape the busy city for an afternoon, just like you escaped when you were little by climbing in your tree house.
Three weeks ago my boyfriend and I went on a spontaneous trip to Basel, Switzerland. We booked our flight on Wednesday evening and left the next day! We didn’t really had time to plan anything. But luckily, we have some great friends there who could show us around. The best place they showed us was this little café hidden at the waterside; Rostiger Anker. It is one of the most chilled out places I have seen lately.
On a sunny day me and my boyfriend wanted to go for dinner somewhere with a nice terrace. Suddenly we thought of going to De Machinist in Coolhaven, Rotterdam. Normally an area where I do not come that often. But actually really close to my house.
