If you like vintage clothes, if you like flea markets, if you like spending a perfect day in Amsterdam, go to the IJ-Hallen this weekend!! It’s a huge flea market at the NDSM-werf in Amsterdam. Which is a cool place on its own already, with nice lunch places; PLLEK, Noorderlicht en de IJ-kantine. But once a month when the flea market is held there it’s even more cool. I love to search for great items at this market. They have stalls full of amazing fur coats, vintage summer dresses, old army coats, and before Christmas I found the perfect vintage reindeer sweater in a stall full of vintage wool sweaters.
As my all-time favorite coffee spot in Rotterdam, Hopper cannot be missed on my Rotterdam hotspot list. Because of this place I have my morning coffee every day ready for me, I have a lovely terrace around the corner of my apartment to drink my coffee in the sun and not unimportant I survived my thesis time. Basically, I owe my life to Hopper :p.
I love t-shirts! And even more, I love Vogue t-shirts! I’m wearing my Vogue shirt with this comfy outfit at home. I like to dress up but always (well, most of the time) comfort is the most important aspect in my outfits.
It’s warm, the sun is out most of the time and everybody is happy summer is in town. Let’s drink to that with a summer smoothie, or with wine and beer on the terrace! But for now stay with the Mango Mint summer smoothie; delicious, healthy and summery.
On a rainy day me and my friends ended up in Restaurant De Jong. We arrived around 5pm. They were getting ready for the evening and we took a seat at the bar talking to the staff and having some wine.
GROOS is a concept store in Rotterdam. They only sell Rotterdam based designer stuff. Art, clothes, music, literature, lifestyle products etc. Basically everything you can think of that is made in Rotterdam.
Finally my coolest editorial from my modeling trip to Hong Kong last winter got published in Bast magazine. It was an awesome shoot on an awesome day. We were shooting at Shek-O beach and the weather was a bit grey and the sea was rough. Perfect weather for this perfect shoot.
Back home I discovered de Bakkerwinkel in Rotterdam! And not just in Rotterdam, but around the corner of my apartment. De Bakkerswinkel already exist in multiple cities in the Netherlands, but surprisingly Rotterdam wasn’t on that list for a long time.
Last weekend was my first weekend back in Rotterdam. And already there was a great event on the agenda. The Hood By Air launch at Ansh46. Ansh46 is the first selling point of HBA in the Netherlands. And for sure they picked the best store to launch their brand here.
On these sunny spring days it is time to give your nails a summer polish. Usually I would think of bright colors or pastels when I think of summer colors. But this time I’m going for white, the Eastern Light from Chanel. It is a perfect polish to change once in a while from the bright summer colors, but still have a sunny look. This polish is perfect for hands and toes, so go all the way!!
